Yup, back in 2016 I was told I had to go from Aberdeen to Glasgow for calibration – a 300 mile round trip! Thankfully the car didn’t have them – Citroen did what Citroen do and de-specced the car after all the reviews were out, so Aiuto glass was adamant I had them, I (and their fitter on site) was adamant I did not. Got messages insisting on attending calibration for 2 years afterwards!
Hopefully there are more centres about now the sensors are more common.
