Just spoke to motability who are now saying they have no applocation for me and they told the dealer to resubmit the application cause he didn’t add the grant. Crazy after being told Friday that my car was ready for handover now this
What a “fcuk” up!
Heres what I think has happened – Your grant has been awarded and passed on to the relevent department and grants have moved on to another applicant. Therefore no problem on your grant award, which is the good thing and your grants manager was just being arsey everytime you spoke with her.
The confusing bit:
When you initially ordered the T-Roc, you wold have had what looks similar to an “invoice” showing the Advance Payment owed on collection . Does it show the original AP of the car or a dicounted AP showing your grant award??
If on this paperwork it shows the original AP without any discount for the grant as it seems, Motability have said they contacted the dealer so they could add the grant. It then looks like the dealer has cancelled your order with Motability!
If this is the case you can visit the dealership asking if the car is still available and get them to ring Motability whilst your there, to confirm what they told you. The dealer can put the order through again correctly for you.
If your paperwork shows your grant award allocated contact Motability again saying so and ask them whats going on. However it looks like a typical dealer error as usual.
