My auntie gave me an orange mini 1000 in 1981 as my first car, I wasn’t old enough to drive it yet but became proficient at reversing it 6ft and pulling forward again on the drive over 6 months period till I could learn to drive.
A few cars later I had a 1275gt, we had it sprayed red with while wheels and mirrors and the 1275gt stripe in white too. Had a black mini Mayfair run around once too and an MG metro red/orange ish and a silver MG metro turbo. Did quite well till got to the growing up stage of life.
All came to an abrupt change of pace a while back, grab life with both hands while tou can. Thanks to the scheme I’m about to relive my motoring youth, can’t wait.
