As with all walks of life, there are people who would happily spend thousands per month on a ‘look at me’ car on lease that they’ll never own and still have to maintain and repair it. There are people who would look at new car prices and would call it absolutely ridiculous. It’s all about what’s good for you as an individual. If you’re happy to put £7k or more up front for a lease and then submit your mobility payments for 3 to 5 years then you should be free to do so without others insinuating you need your marbles sorting. Likewise, if you feel that is completely insane and you’d rather put that money into a deposit for a car you’ll own in 3 or 5 years time, again, go for it that’s your choice to make.
Maybe it’s time to allow others to make their choices as they feel suits them without the judgement?
