We ordered a PHEV 308 SW in November last year, with an initial estimated delivery of June. Turns out the dealership only actually ordered the car in Jan with an ETA of late March, but the wrong engine (180 vs 225). The 308 SW had come off the scheme by the time they ordered it and they guessed rather than check with us or Motability. We only found out about this when I called in Feb to check on progress – We had had no comms from the dealership at all.
After phoning the dealership and Motability throughout March and April to try to get to the bottom of what was going on we had to extend our current lease so as to remain insured etc. and the correct car has finally just been orderd, ETA August/September.
Apparently the dealer’s ETA effectively ends your current lease, so for us the end of March, so we were almost in a pickle with insurance…
Anyway, I thought that might be of interest to some.
