When looking I asked about a Hyundai Tucson 1.6 TGDi 48V MHD SE Connect 5dr 2WD DCT £2499 AP and this was the reply from Read Hyundai. We can certainly arrange for an appointment and test drive in the Tucson. Sadly the mild hybrid DCT is no longer available for us to order, production was halted late last year due to supply issues. (we’re still not entirely sure why this was kept on the Motability scheme list). We can however order the Tucson Premium self-charging hybrid, this is still an automatic, and this particular model has a £3,999 advance payment.
Hi, I can rember you saying that before. My guess is the dealer you spoke with was mistaken or trying to move on the premium hybrid 230 in group stock. I specificaly asked the dealer I had mine from, who said they were available and tried to get me have a 4wd mild hybrid 180, as he’s aware I’m after an early termination for an auto.
Have you spoken to any other dealers from a different group?
I’m getting 27-29mpg local and 39mpg on a long run with a long term average of 32mpg out of my Ultimate ICE manual. The mild hybrid is only rated upto 2mpg extra WLTP figurers, so in real terms there won’t be alot between them. Similar figurers are quoted on the Sportage thread as they are technically the same car, and the Sportage is available on the scheme with DCT mild htbrid. There is also a GPF issue on the ICE and Mild hybrid.
If your after something economical my advice is the step up to the hybrid 230 or go for the Kuga 🙂
