Scotland is not an independent country or state, and neither are Wales, Northern Ireland, or England itself. However, Scotland is most certainly a nation of people living in an internal division of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Neither does Scotland have external recognition, nor does Scotland have its own embassies in other independent countries.

I said that Countries have the right to seek control over their own affairs. Both Ukraine and Scotland are Countries in their own right. They have stable populations defined geography recognised language and recognisable cultures. At this time Ukraine is a sovereign state since 1991. Scotland was a sovereign state between mid 9th Century up until 1707. Had I said that Scotland was a sovereign state then your accusation would be viable but I didn’t.

You seem to have the same problem as mike700 and Wigwam in differentiating between Countries and Sovereign states, try reading up on it.
