    The Bloomberg report was based on a statement made by Richard Hughes chair of the OBR. I got the figure to £88 Billion(4% of £2.2 trillion) but I think they factored in what the UK GDP would have been before the brexit devaluation of the £. Don’t know where the OBR got £40 Billion from when they concluded there was a 4% hit to the economy?

    What is written is not merely a point of view. The big difference between the Tories and the SNP is that the Tories are institutionally corrupt. The SNP situation looks more likely, if proven, to be down to individual malfeasance.

    I still say the demise of the SNP is greatly exaggerated especially as the desire for Independence hasn’t been dented by the current anti SNP feeding frenzy.
