Just the standard range, around 254 on a 2/3 year old model. I’ve watched so many YouTube videos of people saying you don’t have range anxiety even with standard range due to the supercharger network.
So you can knock about 10% /30ish miles off that in the cooler weather. Either way you would need a stop off part way through your journey. If some or most of your journey is motorway, I don’t think you would have any issues with a normal charging network. Even charging away from the motorway I believe there more reliable and more of than it used to be. I also understand you can use a Tesla’s charging network, or soon will beable to, providing the EV you choose has the right type of charger.
The Kia Niro is 285 miles insurance group 28 or 29, so much lower than the Tesla’s group 48. Is it worth paying higher insurance year after year, just to benifit from its charging network. Surely by planning your journey to Cornwall the once with a backup stop incase the chargers at the first stop were down, would be as equally pleasing journey, whilst at the same time saving money on insurance!
Have you looked at the Kia EV6 RWD has a WLTP range of 328 miles, insurance group 34-35, again much lower than the Tesla and is roughly the same size. I like the layout of the interior on the EV6 🙂
