I’d own anything from any nation if the product and price point were right.
No matter what we buy these days there are moral issues with it.
Do you buy Nike I don’t because of their history and likely still continued use of sweat shops and child labour.
I won’t use Starbucks because of their modern day slavery that they have been repeatedly fined for but the fines are less than the profit margins so they continue.
I won’t use Apple for similar reasons.
But I won’t pretend that my Reebok and Adidas trainers, my Costa coffee or my Samsung phone hasn’t had a negative impact on someone down the line.
The same would apply for cars especially EVs with their rare metal mining practices no matter if it’s VW or BYD etc they all are tarnished in some way in the supply line.
Sadly it’s the way the world works and will always work and nothing will ever change when 3rd world countries and their people are their to be exploited in the chase of profit.
