I used to always defend the license fee, but I’m going off the BBC as the years go by. The only things I can remember watching are Top Gear, Line Of Duty, occasionally Questiontime if there’s a big story and a bit of News 24. There’s no sport anymore and I stopped listening to 5 live radio when I found LBC. If the Beeb is going to survive it needs to be totally independent of government appointments.
