The Motability saleswoman (person?) I’ve used before is very good but not in today. I was just having a think and none of the 3 cars (C-Max and 2 Kuga’s) were factory orders, all were from existing stock around the UK. The last one (for my late friend) had to be black if he wanted one from stock as they were about to do a facelift (like now).
My options at the moment are limited, being 6′ 5-1/2″ with mobility problems etc.
1. Keep the Ateca Xcellence Lux I have now, fits OK, decent seats and comfort, nothing really wrong with it but tyres are absolutely useless in snow and heavy rain/greasy roads.
2. Get a newer Version of the Ateca, Xperience Lux has same 19″ Bridgestone tyres and lousy wipers so not really worth £2700+, Xperience with 18″ wheels is £1250 but loses the comfort leather heated seats (v.nice), electric tailgate and some of the safety tech.
3. Mazda CX-5 Exclusive line, not a great fit (Sunroof) but manageable, no heated windscreen though. £2999 AP with the driver assistance pack and 3-4 months wait.
4. Kuga FHEV, as above, Vignale is £2645 and according to user reports gets around 50mpg so 30% better than the Ateca, 25% better than the Mazda.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
