It is quite frustrating as some of the 5 seater vans (e.g. the Transit Custom crew cab) would be really practical for a large portion of Motability customers. Most drive just like an MPV or large SUV and have a high percentage of the comfort and safety features of current vehicles or if not can be fitted as an option.
A simple search showed a Long wheelbase Renault crew cab van 150 sport for £313 a month with a £3,500 AP. Given Motability’s buying power this could easily be made affordable on the scheme. I would gladly swap the Tucson I have on order for any vehicle in this size bracket
