Thanks for all the replies, I’ve been up the loft at home and I have a cheap group B single boom eight element aerial stored up there, Sutton Coldfield aerial, I can give this a go and see what it does.
There is no rush for this to be sorted, as already pointed out by @Brydo I can stream freeview TV if need be, however we use a router that has a SIM card rather than a phone line so downloads are not unlimited and I would prefer to sort out the aerial rather than stream by the summer. We have Roku boxes and a Now TV box with the usual subscription streaming services so would prefer to sort the aerial.
Whenever doing jobs at the caravan I need to go on my own, our youngest daughter is autistic and has quite severe OCD so I need to be there on my own to sort anything so it could take a while to sort out.
@kezo don’t worry about teaching me to suck eggs I would sooner know something twice rather than not know it at all.
