Kezo I wouldn’t hold your breath on hydrogen being used in place of natural gas I think that makes no financial sense and, unless how they produce it changes massively, is a non starter.
I was reading something the other day, which sprung to mind when I wrote this, with the UK govs intention to ban new gas boiler by 2026 in favour of Hydrogen ready, starting with a mix of x amount of Hydrogen similar to 10% ethanol in petrol.
Hydrogen can be produced en mass by electrolysis and the punchline is, it becomes green when produced with green energy. However things are likely to change within the next decade or so, and can be something tatally different.
There is know way are ageing grid will cope if everthing relied on electricity without major improvements!
