@kezo I foolishly wandered into a Curry’s. I was very impressed with the Sony 55 inch OLED at £999. It was a J model, I see there is a new K model released. What would you advise? I doubt very much that I will buy as it’s silly money but I was impressed.
I gather your talking about the Sony A80J/K with 55″ screen?
In a nutshell they are both premium TV’s….
The Sony A80K and A80J OLED are extremely similar TVs with the same features. The A80K downgrades in a few areas, namely the A80J has an higher brightness, and its speakers are better. However the A80K also has a wider 1080p VRR (variable refresh rate) range. The overall decision in my oppinion between the two comes down to which one you can find for cheaper. as they’re very similar.
OLED’s are expensive to start off with and the A80J was upwards of £1600 at first release, so for a 55″ it excellent price.
However there are other places other than curry’s (I dislike) selling at the same price probably with a discount!
