Picked up a 2022 Sportage in October, by December at 440 miles I got my first light, despite miles 350 to 410 being on the motorway.
I drove an hour in 4th gear and it didn’t clear it despite keeping it at 3.5 revs the entire time, took it in to Kia who cleared it while burning another 30 moles of fuel… thanks.
500 miles later and I got another… This time I drove 90 minutes in 3rd gear at around 55-65mph.. didn’t clear. Very frustrated at this point as I assumed it definitely had to be something wrong.
Did the engine braking method mentioned earlier in the thread for 45mins of going to 70 in 3rd gear and letting it drop to 50 before going up again, nothing. I was about to give up hope until I hit a down stretch of motorway which let me basically roll at about 55mph for 30 to 40 seconds and it cleared it off.
Guessing it needs a nice, long blast of air coming through.
Glad to say it’s finally cleared but what a pain in the ass this was.
