These reviews, though interesting aren’t really realistic for many reasons:
1. Unless you are doing regular long distance journeys, these costs are totally compensated for by the costs of home charging.
2. I drive regularly on the motorway, but at 65mph, makes very little difference in time taken, but greatly increases range.
3. Ionity are the most expensive chargers out there.
4. I have a Kona and a Charge MyHyundai card, I pay £11.25 a month for an Ionity subscription which brings down the costs of the charge to 25p kWh
In the end, if you drive an electric vehicle hard, and use the expensive chargers, you will pay through the nose and the costs of running electric cars are rising, but overall, I’d guess for 90% of people, it’s still far cheaper than an ICE
