You needn’t worry, all of the Motability vehicles are exempt as they will meet the minimum criteria listed below (unless you have a very old WAV?), if not on the Motability scheme and you have a car or van older than the dates shown below, you can register your car if you are a blue badge holder and claim your exemption.
All of the info you need is found at https://www.lowemissionzones.scot/
The confirmed minimum criteria for vehicles to access a Scottish Low Emission Zone (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee & Aberdeen so far) is:
Euro 4 for petrol cars and vans (generally vehicles registered from 2006*)
Euro 6 for diesel cars and vans (generally vehicles registered from September 2015*)
Euro VI for buses, coaches and HGVs (generally vehicles registered from January 2013*)
Blue Badge holders are exempt from Low Emissions Zones through the Low Emission Zone (Emission standards, Exemptions and Enforcement) (Scotland) Regulations 2021. The scheme will allow Blue Badge holders to register their exemption using an accessible system with multiple points of entry.
In life, it's not who you know that's important, it's how your wife found out.
