Toshiba stopped manufacturing TV’s in 2015, Compi and then Hisense purchased the brand in the US. More importantly Toshiba Europe was bought by Vestel, Vestel also bought the licencing of the Toshba brand.
Vestel is a Turkish concern, a big OEM manufacturer of electronics. It produces televisions both under its own brand and to order and has the licencing rights for other brands which they now own.
