The dealer doesnt know what is happening, and where your car is…that applies to all Motability dealers. The only time the Motability dealer knows, is when the car arrives at the garage.
That is correct Berty and everyone needs to remember the dealer doesn’t know much more than we get ourselves on the internet.
I wrote an e-mail to my dealer last months saying I don’t put any blame what so ever on them for the 15 month delay I’ve had but that they can send my disapproving email onto VW UK because there the ones along with VW Germany who pass the buck back to the dealer when they know full well there in as much the dark as we are.
Was sort of hoping to get my car this Monday but dealer rang last night (now he knows where the car is) to tell me the car will start its 4 day Pre-Delivery Checks Monday so I could get the car next Friday.
About an hour after they phone I had the thought that next Friday is less than a fortnight away from the new 23 plate so sent them an email asking if it would be better for Motability if the car was registered with the new plate but also told them I’m not fussed if its a 72 or 23 plate as its not my car.
I left it with them on what they want to do as I would prefer the car next week if it means there’s going to be loads of people about collecting new cars on the first of March as I don’t do crowds now I’m disabled and avoid them at all cost.
