I found it Mike RS the Samsung 43″ Q60B £599 or £499 VIP price. the 50″ £649
In Costco they have a Q65B which has a better spec and a bit more future proof – 43″ £479.98 and the 50″ £539.98.
The Q65B is the next model up to the Q60B, thus has better features.
If it were me I’d be looking at the 50″ it would be seen more of an upgrade to your current set-you will get far better immersive viewing. Unfortunately they don’t do 48″.
I prefer Costco above RS simply because you have 90 days to send it back, with no questions asked and their guarantee although only for 5yrs is one of the best. Plus they are cheaper than RS or other retail stores. I use Costo alot for electrical goods if they have what I want.
If you wanted a TV with local dimmng albeit pricer I would take the Hisense U7H £700 over the Samsung Q80/85B as you only see local dimming with Samsung higher models plus the Hisense would win easily again’st the Q80b picture. But they only start at 55″
Having said I’d prefer Costco and Q65B rather than the Q60B, along with the 50″ would be seen a preferable upgrade to your current set. That’s my honest oppinion.
As for the Q65B it will have better spec with later tech, an entry level quantum dot display which would/should be far superior to your current TV. HD will be upscaled to near 4K for those nature programs – and of course you can use bluetooth headphones 🙂
However I would not discount the Hisense Oled because you’d get perfect blacks, local dimming with v good colour depth/clarity making those nature programs pop even more lol. No it won’t be quite as bright as the Q65B, but I’d be v shocked if you said it wasn’t bright enough! plus you have 90days to decide to say yes/no and change it for the Samsung mentioned here. However, as I said to you before on this and your phone thread you are the one using it and nobody else and it’s definately not worth giving yourself an headache over!
To keep things the same …..
