Kia dealer returned from annual leave today and rang me this morning, saying our Sportage (MHEV Trim level 4, in Penta) is now ready to collect. Said if we dont collect by Wednesday 25th we lose it.
I must admit, i was very shocked at this ultimatum given to us by the dealer, considering we have had to wait 9-10 months. We also work so getting time off at short notice may be difficult.
I told him that we were in fact looking to cancel the order due to MPG worries and GPF issues other people are reporting. Like a good salesman, he said he has a sportage and gets 42 mpg (which i questioned) and no one has complained to him about the GPF issues.
Kezo – If you were in my position, would you still cancel and get the Qashqai – Is the Tuscon and Sportage really that problematic in regards to the GPF and MPG? I need to make a decision either way by today he had told me.
