EV drivers will be expected to leave their vehicles plugged in to provide peak power demand which will then be replaced when demand (and charges) is lower. It’s an opportunity to be paid for electricity you put in your car as any car with V2G capabilities, alongside and V2G capable charger can sell that electricity back to the grid if they’re in a bit of a fix locally.
I can’t wait for the first ‘I had to drive my wife to hospital just to find someone had emptied the charge to the point I couldn’t get there and back’ type article in the daily fail or similarly balanced press.
