Yes, there’s a difference between private and Motability. And there’s nothing wrong with it. It does suck for us, but the problem here is a misconception on your part. Motability isn’t “special” from a manufacturers point of view. They’re a fleet operator, much like Lex, SIXT, HERTZ or any other leasing company/fleet operator. The main difference between MB and other fleet operators (being VAT exempt for example) plays no role in that. The reality is that private buyers get their stuff quicker than any fleet operator. That of course includes MB. You’re not at a “disadvantage” because you’re disabled, you’re at a disadvantage because you’re leasing. Regardless of abled or disabled.
