They won’t cancel your order @Effkay. I had added a premium sound system to our Motability BMW and a month after ordering the dealer contacted me to say that there was a supply issue with Harman/kardon and they couldn’t include it. This made no difference to the order as it was just an optional extra.
Agreed – in past cars I had the Harman/Kardon and also the Bose – this was the first time a dealer told me that I cannot get it. I am just worried and confused as it was several dealers saying the same in relation to not being allowed the speakers. However, was funny as each of these dealers also provide me a different cost price for other common extras like front/rear dashcam (lowest quote £280 / highest £340) and even the cost of the paint (lowest quote £0 / highest £180)!
No need to worry. Just go with the most helpful dealer. As for option prices varying, most dealers will offer a discount on those, usually between 5 and 15%. Some (like our BMW dealer) will offer this without you even asking, but others won’t offer any discount unless you ask.
