I ordered a Tucson PHEV Ultimate last Tuesday and the dealer said it will be July. No idea what the tech pack is but she said the blind spot monitoring was included so I’m a bit confused now…

    Tech pack includes –

Electronic Control Suspension (ECS) – I could only imagine using this to set the suspension to my preferred choice and leave it. It’s an SUV, not a sports tourer where you may want to swap from stiff sports suspension to comfy suspension when cruising. Although if I was someone who took my SUV off road, the ECS maybe of some use.

Around View Monitor (AVM) – I do use this on my Sportage pretty much every time I park. You can chose all sorts of angles, but I leave it on birds eye view. It’s the widest vehicle I’ve ever owned and is a feature that I will certainly spec on any future cars (so long as not too expensive)

Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM) – looks great when the speedo/tachometer turns into a video feed of your blind spot, but I’m so used to looking over my shoulder, I find it’s main use is seeing the curb when parallel parking.

Remote Smart Park Assist – Only available on HEV’s or PHEVs. Never needed this feature, although it looks cool when moving the car remotely. I can see it being useful if you have a narrow garage, or somebody parks too close to you.

It brings the Tuscon Ultimate up to the same equipment level as a KIA Sportage, but also has the ECS which Sportage doesn’t have.
