    we may have the Gov to blame in cutting the Subsidy.

    I’m not a fan of government subsidies. They tend to result in over inflated prices and profiteering, all funded by the tax payer. It was interesting when the government last cut the subsidies on EV’s that some manufacturers immediately reduced their retail prices, which proves the point. It’s not just EV’s where this applies. The Help to Buy scheme in the property market directly resulted in over inflated prices of new build properties and was known in the industry as “Help to Buy House Builders Yachts”!

    It’s usually far better to let the normal supply and demand factors rule the market. When manufacturers can’t sell enough EV’s at the prices that they are charging they will be forced to reduce the prices, as has just happened with Tesla. Subsidies (which we pay for through taxes) stop that from happening.
