I don’t think it would help their brand image
For JLR, for sure.
Tesla really doesn’t have “a brand”. They’re expensive, but not premium, so in that regard i don’t think they’re misplaced on the scheme. And Musk has more urgent issues than the brand image too – shifting cars is paramount for now. For all intents and purposes, MB is just another fleet operator.
I still wouldn’t have one if they appeared on the scheme, i don’t even think that they’d be a great addition (small boot etc, since we’re definitely not getting the Model X/SUV) – but i do think it’s possible, and depending on pricing, i’m pretty sure plenty of people would snatch one.
