out of interest, how many miles do you think you can get on full EV before engine kicks in?
I should clear up some potential confusion here –
The e- power is driven / propelled only by an electric motor, therefore, ‘technically’ it is in electric drive 100% of the time.
The engine only powers the inverter which either charges the battery- or sends electricity to the motor ,using petrol instead of ‘plug in electricity – and only when necessary ie when the charge is low , and it Cuts in very discreetly , btwI am now recording over 1100 miles with an average of 59 mpg .

It always starts in full Electric mode, moving off quietly and quickly , just like any other e v, and sometimes the engine stays shutdown for a couple of miles, depending on the style of driving and the traffic conditions, other times it can cut in soon after starting off, but it is only charging / topping up the battery and is not driving the wheels.
It is not like a plug in hybrid, where the engine also powers the car, and it actually provides a closer driving experience to a full EV, in my opinion!
