I don’t have aKona yet but I’ve recently changed my charging habits at home, not sure if your charger will allow it but both my Zappi and my Easee charger do.
Basically rather than use the car to decide it’s charging time, I set the car to charge immediately and then set the charger to charge at cheap overnight tariff only. In addition the Zappi is set to charge when there is excess solar.
Of course you can change the settings on the App should you need to.
