The Elephant in the room with any comparison of cost between EVs and ICE is the polution and climate degradation caused by the burning of fossil fuels. Admittedly there are environmental issues surrounding the extraction of rare metals for EV batteries, but compared with the impact of the fossil fuel process they are negligible.
I’m a sensible bloke ? but, do you realise an EV has to be driven 20-30k miles before it’s carbon foot print off set agaisn’t an eqivalent fossil fueled vehicle. Thats not taking into account villages are burried by the extra digging needed, the pollution being caused to land and rivers, such as the yellow river, not to mention peoples health in the countries affected.
