My other half has a C5 Aircross with the 1.2 130 EAT8 and it’s perfectly adequate.
I appreciate it wouldn’t win the Monaco GP and 0 – 60 won’t set the world on fire but it’ll happily sit at 90+ (not that we do) plus so many cameras now.
I had 1 year left on 2 year extension and felt things could get worse before better and was worried about being backed into a corner after 5 years. We took the C5x out for a good test drive and were more than impressed. Yes another 100hp would be nice but ATM I drive more to save fuel / money with fuel prices. My thoughts was change now with what’s available and reasonable and hope the choices are a bit better in 3 years time.
Food for thought, a mkII Golf Gti had 130hp and no one said they were slow, yes I accept they weighed less. Anyway, we’re quite happy with our choice and even more so that the Shine plus has gone and the Sense plus is now the same price.
