As before excellently put together @MFillingham
I also agree with AtoB_Dude point – on don’t tell them your mobility cutomer untill necessary.
Thank you, much appreciated.
@MFillingham, Totally, Likewise I do the same looking at specs and stuff as Adaptive cruise control is very important for me, as well as the other non negotiable items you need in a car for daily life. What we can do or not do without is also a personal choice and differ’s for us all. Take the heated seats for instance
on a EV heated seats are essential imho, for heated seats and steering wheel will use 1/6 of the battery the heating system will use, in the megane the thing that convinced me most was is ability to keep the window demisted at level 1 fan, which helps with range. its amazing how much kwh a car heater uses.
I agree, in an EV if you can keep warm without using hot air you’ll save so much energy but, I’ve been in a few cars where the heating is awful, nothing to burning in seconds and either on or ouch as options. I can see why some find them a complete no-no while others swear by it. To be honest, the ones we have right now heat back and seat, so we’re comfortable and it aides back problems, to the extent where I’ve sat in the car just to ease my back.
Twice i have replied to rico’s comment and twice it has disappeared after it was posted.
I’m so sorry to read of your loss, that’s something nobody should go through.
I agree with your longer post, what is essential, acceptable or even unacceptable differs from person to person. To some extent most are similarly aligned, we like comfortable seating but what we define as comfortable may differ. Keyless access can be seen as a security threat, it’s relatively easy for the professional thief to take advantage of the systems involved but I usually find my keys are in one of 3 pockets on the same side as my walking stick, which makes it a proper pain to find just to unlock the doors. I find I’m around 50/50 with other people as to keyless or remote entry but on my own I’m almost always just pressing the buttons.
I'm Autistic, if I say something you find offensive, please let me know, I can guarantee it was unintentional.
I'll try to give my honest opinion but am always open to learning.
