If this is the case, or worst scenario, where is the issue? There is no range anxiety driving a PHEV.
No just anxiety over how you will afford to own one, the only afforable PHEV right now is the RENAULT CAPTUR HATCHBACK 1.6 E-TECH PLUG-IN HYBRID 160 TECHNO 5DR AUTO at £1,395 all other’s are alot more.
Plus also is a phev really the most cost effective option after all you paying for 2 power plants and dragging 2 power plants around.
Right now there are alot more ev’s under £1.5k available than phev’s. which I imagine will still be the case when the ice ban come into force.
So again those without the ability to charge at home will have to pay more than those who can charge at home to stay mobile.
