Indeed, sometimes I do forget exactly what everyone did or has said and the comment was more to do with what phaedra said about the reviews than mikes experience so far, which i am looking forward to.
My memory isn’t brilliant either lol, but it does come to mind Phaedra was talking about the X Trail.
They can vary so much and what are normal conditions for some ain’t for others. I may also do over 78 sometimes, but I don’t say anything about that and I will overtake when safe to do so, kinda do miss the civic sport for that.
Agree
Often on the ev threads many say they do well under the speed limit and personally I think the manufacturers need to say how much range will decrease in certain conditions, especally the cold. It’s not just ev’s though right now there are some I just think as fuel is so high are trying to save pennies.
100% EV manufacturers should state more on what will affect the range
I Blame the switch to E10 as well as they have ditched E5 95 ron and bascally only sell super unleaded 97/99 ron so what ever you use it’s costing more now than before. not like most cars need SUL but many are using it, sometimes I do half a tank of each.
I agree. I either do a tank of each or mix 50/50.
I switched over to petrol back in 2020 after years of diesels with no issues due to covid and other factors dpf issue became very common for me.
My Tuscon is the first petrol Ive had for years, Ive never had an issue with the DPF. I think I’m very lucky Ive not had an issue with the GPF as other Tuscon and Sportage owners are having. I do drive a 300 mile round trip evey 3 weeks so thats prob why I haven’t.
As i use acc alot even in town, if a car infront moves off fast, so does my car and the one downside to the vitara i have now is it only has one mode floor it, unlike my last 2 cars where the acc was more sedate in eco and normal modes than sport mode. But hey ho it helps me alot acc.
I try to keep ac of as much as possible (save a drop of fuel) but if it helps you then why not. I understand what you mean by ” more sedate” but I think thats more of a sign of the times with new fossil cars these days.
Some parliamentary group’s pushing for speed limits to be reduced to 64mph and no cars in cities on a sunday. To reach target’s setout. That messes up any sunday visits to our family then and will hit the economy. What consideration is there for us with mobility issues, pretty much non like during covid and the closure of roads.
I read about that, something to do with limiting the energy crisis, but, if they do it to conserve energy, it will never go back. No cars in cities on a Sunday is rediculous, lets hope councils have more sense apart from him in London. The full on greenies only think of them selves.
The country is going backwards!!
One bonus is i don’t go into a big city anymore and since my mum died in 2021 and my 3 bro’s now all outside london in home county’s, I don’t have to go into london anymore or any other city on the regular, but these changes are coming, even ev’s won’t be allowe
I can’t remember the last time I drove in London, infact it was only once since my parents would frive down a couple of times a year to see my mums aunties. Were talking Mk1 Cortina, Triumph Dolmite, Vauxhall Viva Austin Marina days lol.
If Sad Khan has anything to do it your probably right!
I think thats a better reply than one big blurb 🙂
