My QQ was a manual!! it was simply not safe, pull out of a side road or junction and the engine would stop/start while you were 1/4 of the way out, very scary!!. Try to accelerate away in 2nd and it just crept along until the revs built up enough for some torque.
My next door neighbours son had the same car, we did a trip with us driving each others car, his got about 25-30% better mpg than mine did !! Took it back to the dealer who said bring it in next week, then next month as someone was off, basically had no idea so I rang Motability and they cancelled it free of charge.
