    Usually leads to an order cancellation though, because the order that the dealership was sitting on was for cars that were subsequently removed.

    If the AP changed, you could talk to MB and see if they show some goodwill considering that wasn’t your fault – apart from that, there’s nothing for you to do. As much as it sucks, considering you basically just start your waiting time now and lost basically 3 months.

    You could see if you maybe get a concession from the dealership (full tank of petrol, maybe a boot liner or something similar) – but that’s very hit and miss, they’re not obliged to do so.
