I’m in a quandary……. The week before Christmas I received a letter from DVLA, saying that their doctors want me to have a drivers assessment. The appointment is booked for the end of January. But the wait for my car Spec 3, auto, petrol, will be just under 10 months wait. So if I get a call saying “yay, you can pick your car up “ before I get the all clear from the DVLA, what do I do? I don’t want to put £2k into something that I can’t drive! ( Early onset Parkinsons) I can drive quite well, and have been driving for 25 years. Has anyone had a drive assessment? And how long before you hear back from them? What happens if I take the car and I get my driving license taken off me? Sorry it’s long winded, but I don’t know what to do about the car, anyone here with a similar situation?
There must be alot on here who have been in the same boat your are now. So your question reaches a wider audience why not start your own thread titled “Help DVLA assessment, new car collection iminente” or something along the lines of 🙂
