Yeah I found it strange for them to say too. As per advice a few posts above, I spoke to other dealers and they had no issue with it… makes me think then perhaps they are looking to off-load cars that they already have / will be getting in stock.
Hmm. As I thought then. Keep in mind that you can order from any dealer. It doesn’t have to be the one nearest to you and you don’t need to have the car serviced at the same dealer that supplied the car. I got our last VW from a dealer that was 60 miles away (because they offered a £500 discount off the AP) but always had the car serviced at our nearest VW dealer. I always ring around half a dozen dealers and check which ones have available build slot allocations and can place the order immediately (rather than sit on it for months, as many do whilst making you think that they’ve ordered the car when they haven’t. Keep in mind that the ‘order’ that shows on the Motability system is not an order and does not mean that the car is actually ordered by the dealer yet).
