In years to come, I would say yes. Their USP seems to be that their cars have the best range and charging infrastructure and, as a result, those who want an EV and can afford them are most likely to choose a Tesla. Also (around here anyway) they are very popular in multi-car households, where a Tesla may sit on the drive alongside one or two ICE cars. In such households I suspect that, in most cases, the Tesla is the company car, primarily for tax reasons. A company car driver with a £70k Tesla will pay a hell of a lot less company car tax than a similar priced ICE car (well, for now anyway)
As the years go by, it has to be assumed that other manufacturers EV’s will achieve ranges that are much closer to ICE cars and obviously the charging infrastructure will improve, so Tesla’s USP will wain. All companies (not just car manufacturers) are very focussed on market share and Motability is a great option to address that.
