Worst of both worlds Kezo poor battery, poor ice. Double the complexity for what gain?
@Ian I’m not agaisn’t EV’s at all. If all it entailed was 20s pluging in at home and charging overnight gave me similar miles to an ICE I’d have one like a shot, but as of yet they don’t.
If I was solely using a car for tootling around town going back and forth the supermarket again I’d probably have an EV on the scheme.
As I explained the other day I could be out and about in the car and and already covered 50 miles or more, then receive an emergency call needing to be 200 miles away regardless of the season, travelling above the optimum speed to acheive the best m/Kwh. At this point in my life an ICE/Hybrid is better suited for my needs. Asides that Ive drove all my life with work and become an impatient sod wanting to get from a to b as soon as.
One day EV’s will match or surpass that of an ICE or another technolodgy will come in that does. One day I may not need to franticaly get from a to b and I need not worry about range anxiety, but untill then I stick with what I have 🙂
