The worst car I have had on the scheme was a Citroën, bit’s of plastic would just appear in the cabin and had fallen off from somewhere. The infotainment system would regularly crash and the only way to fix it was to stop the car and restart the engine, They never could fix it and as it controlled the heater also, sometimes it was a big issue.

car had numerous saftey recalls and even the 12v charger exploded into pieces. It needed a new one that was clear. Has never happened on any other car I have ever had. Usually it’s the adapter you plug in that stops working and how can one cope without the ability to charge anything, especially on a log journey, with kids and was a huge inconvenience.

I called them about it as it was booked in for it’s mot and they said they’d order the part and fix it when it came in for the mot. I told them I had a mb car as i always do? No big problem it was only a few weeks away.

So i go for the mot (while you wait) and it takes 2 hours, not the hour they said it would.  Then after that it’s not been fixed. Mb need to be asked to give permission, I was told and now we need to order the part.

Is the car not under warranty still, I said and is it not covered under that and why have I been sat here for 2 hours when it was only meant to be one hour, then. Why was I told it would be ordered and fixed when i called, otherwise I would of came here earlier and not waited till the mot. How longs it going to take and how long will we be without the ability to charge or power anything, even the tyre repair kit as it didn’t have a spare wheel.

Then they guy sitting next to the person butts in and was so rude, I forget exactly what he said but was along the lines of, I should be happy I have a new car and I don’t pay for it, MB do.

I told him I’m dealing with this person, who was being quite nice and listening to my concerns not you and That I lease the car from mb and it’s non of his business and I want to spk to his manager now? When the manager eventually came over. he basically fobbed me off also and they all then disappeared, into a back office and then came back and said that’s not what he said, maybe i got it wrong, missunderstood what he said etc. I was like So now I am a liar, ok and I left never to return.

Weeks turned into almost 2 months, without the ability to charge or power anything in the car and I never did get it fixed, I called them up after hearing nothing, after another 2 weeks passed and still the part wasn’t in and then it was, but it was we have no slots open to fit the part till X date.

It would of taken 1 min to install a new one. All that needed doing was the lead taking off the old and pluging into the new and it being pushed in and it would automatically clip in itself.. Jeez one could of even done it themselves.

By then it was only a week / days till I got my new car, so it never got fixed and Safe to say I’d never get another Citroën ever again. By far the worst car and experience I’ve had on the scheme.

Not had such problems with any dealerships I had other cars with and little thing’s have gone wrong and they’ve said bring it in we’ll fix it while your here and have done so, or when a parts needed and it arrives they make space for it asap. Oh no, not Citroën though.
