I understand about Motability customers being pushed to the back of the queue. This was not the case for me with Renault in Aberdeen. I enquired mid September and they said cars were being built in October with delivery in November and that was exactly it. It was just over 2 months from order, build to delivery. But I understand that this is not the case with lots of dealerships.

It can vary hugely and if you are flexible with colour or trim level or even manufacturer or the dealer even. Maybe the odds are better in you getting a car quicker than most right now.

Some have even waited a year plus and some even after that time, then had their orders cancelled.

Did see a post recently saying some renault meganes was available from stock and seeing as they starting from £36,995 and at what i would consider a somewhat large ap on the scheme of £5,495 for the lowest trim level. £5,995 for next and no highest trim available.

I can see why retail customers may not want to pay so much for a Renault megane, albeit an electric one or be able to afford or justify the Ap on the scheme, essentially to lease car.

No good for me as we have no drive and if you cannot charge at home, it really is alot more expensive and just not the same as just filling up when needed.

That is the way the scheme is heading also to only EV’s and for those that can afford the many highish ap’s right now. Not much imo is reasonably priced for many needs and it is many of those cars that waits can be the extreme side.

Great to hear though that you was able to get something suitable for you quickly.
