Personally, I think all current orders will eventually be honoured and can’t see the new revised model being offered instead. The current Kona was removed from the Motability scheme about 5 months ago, and my local Hyundai dealership is still taking retail orders for the current model.
I can imagine circumstances where current orders might get cancelled altogether by Hyundai, or specifications/colours changed before production is halted.
If the new model is added to the scheme, I can see the AP’s being much higher than previous, and doubt that the EV will make it onto the scheme unless it has a ridiculously high AP like the Nissan Ariya and new Renault Megane.
Agree that the new Kona looks great – but anticipated price increases may just be prohibitive in the current economic climate.
