Nice review of the car, I’d be interested in seat height. I have difficulty standing from sitting so usually go after the SUV type vehicle of which the only electric ones on scheme are either painfully expensive or short ranged. The next option is either give up on EVs for now or go for something a little lower but still higher than a standard seating position.
The seat height in EVs depends on the design. Of course, electric SUVs like the Kona have an SUV like seating position – but there’s another point to keep in mind.
Pure EVs, unlike the Kona (the Kona is a ICE SUV converted to electric, not designed as an EV), have you seat higher in comparable ICE cars.
For example, in the Megane E-Tech, there’s an 11cm thick battery in the floor, which leads to the aforementioned “weirdness” that is a flat floor, rather than a “tub” that you have to lift your leg into (over the door sill).
Here’s a picture, i’m not a native english speaker so i’m not quite sure whether or not i get the point across.

In the Megane E-Tech, as well as the ID3, you’re not sitting as high as in a Kia Sportage for example – but you do sit higher than in comparable ICE hatchbacks.
As a concrete example, the ID3 driver seat, at full height adjustment, is 701mm off the ground (seat edge to road). That is only 3 ish cm shy of what a current Tiguan achieves at 735mm max height (edge to road).
The Megane E-Tech is slightly lower at a still very impressive 650mm seat edge to ground – 2cm less than the Kona EV, mostly negligible between the two.

As well as my own experience, there was basically no difference in driving/seating position between both of those and our current Ateca for me – although they are easier to get into due to the floor design.
In your case, if your issue is standing up from seated, the floor design in ID3/Megane/Pure EVs could be a real improvement, since you don’t have to lift your legs to slide them out the door.
