The tyres on all UK factory cars are more or less general road tyres.

When I used to write features for some UK motoring magazines, we often used to get tyres to test for cars and motorbikes. You would have to be pushing them to find any real difference

Having had many of my own 4x4s and living in the country near the coast, there is only a little advantage having a 4×4 with standard tyres as opposed to a normal drive car. With snow the important thing is ground clearance. The Hyundai has only around 7 inches after that the front valance will be damaged by the snow impact. Of course icy roads, affect all vehicles whether they have road or knobblies.

Indeed quite often many drivers have a false sense of security believing in their 4×4 system to keep them safe.  A few drivers have found out that if an advisory to stay at home has been given and they set out and prang their vehicle, insurance companies have refused to pay for the damage

I wouldn’t worry about the tyres, what ever is provided will be good enough

BTW I ordered the same vehicle 3 weeks ago. Not because it had 4×4 but the price differential and better specification between that model and the next lower made paying more worth it.
