    These posts are quite old and refer to higher spec vehicles. as someone well used to a DCT gearbox, it’s not automatic, it’s an automated manual gearbox via dual clutches. Unexpected acceleration or deceleration can cause clunkiness, because the software predicts the next gear you need. You need to go online and research how to drive a car with a DCT, because there is a knack to it. Sudden “flooring” the accelerator like someone stated above is a problem in Ford, Vauxhall and many other DCT/ DSG gearboxes. Example, never crawl in traffic, stop create a gap and then start, don’t drag the clutches by crawling along at tick-over speeds, it is very bad. Other issues described with software ? I have a friend with a Merc and moans endlessly about software glitches etc;
