Unexpected acceleration or deceleration can cause clunkiness, because the software predicts the next gear you need. You need to go online and research how to drive a car with a DCT, because there is a knack to it. Sudden “flooring” the accelerator like someone stated above is a problem in Ford, Vauxhall and many other DCT/ DSG gearboxes.
