To those that have at long last received their Kona EVs. Enjoy many happy hours getting to know your new car.
I am feeling deflated at the moment. The last few updates from my dealership on the status of my Kona Ultimate, pushed the build completion up by a couple of weeks each time.
I received an email this afternoon with the news that a new build completion date had been given to my Kona order. It was not to bring it forward, quite the opposite in fact. I have now gone to dealer drop off 16/3/23!! What happened to my expected delivery date in January? My dealership supplied me with the Production Order Sheet with all the dates.
A couple of weeks ago I emailed Hyundai UK with some questions. I have just received an email from them with answers to my questions and also an estimated arrival for my Kona EV. They are saying the expected date to dealership is 3/12/22!! So where would that put my Kona? Still on a ship? Already at Tilbury and awaiting all the port procedures?
There is every reason to believe my dealership as I have read that so many orders are being pushed back to March/April. This is the first time I have contacted Hyundai UK. Should I take their date as being the one that is correct?
I am in my seventh month of waiting and it looks like a few more months are to be added, it is quite depressing. I have been waiting patiently and I shall continue to do so as I know there is nothing else I can do.
