Surely everyone knew it would happen. Personally I think VED should be renamed back to Road Tax and the money generated actually used for roads and driving related infrastructure, including public charging etc rather than going into general government coffers.
I think bands should be set by vehicle size/weight regardless of how they’re powered. That way those that likely cause more wear and tear on the roads pay more.
